Fantastic Phones

The Sony Ericsson K850i is too cool for words. That’s it, end of topic – what more could I possibly say? What’s that I hear – some of you need convincing? Well, here it goes…

Back in the olden days – I’m not quite talking the pre-history of 1980s yuppie cell phones – but back a few years ago when mobile phone consciousness started to bloom, you’d look for a phone whose star shone a little brighter by the inclusion of a digital camera. With the Sony Ericsson K850i, this equation can be effectively reversed:

Why not buy a digital camera with that extra consumer-sparkle of an included UK mobile phone?

There is no need to compromise anymore. If you need a high quality digital camera, you needn’t carry one separately. The K850i Cyber-shot mobile phone offers 5 megapixels with BestPic, which means that you never need to take a bad photo again. For high resolution, crisp and sharp photos forget the manual-focus SLR, and capture your photos with auto-focus on the same unit with which you take and make calls. It’s a revolution in communication – the latest and best offer on mobile phones. Now it’s not only possibly to MMS or print the pictures, but why not publish them instantly on your blog? It’s also so simple with the Sony Ericsson K850i.

Another feature which caught my attention is the sensitivity of the phone. No, it won’t buy you a bunch of flowers and a box of choccies when you’re feeling glum (although I would like to see this on a future model…), but the lower panel of the colour 240x320 pixel screen is touch sensitive. Furthermore, there is some sort of motion sensor for game-play which means that you can play Marble Madness 3D without pressing any buttons. Think back to any memories of your mum trying to play a driving or racing video game whilst inadvertently using the hand-held consol to steer... and that’s pretty much the motion required to play Marble Madness 3D. I repeat my previously uttered sentiment: cool.

Modern mobile phones are amazing examples of innovation and creative technology. The possibilities are mind-blowing, and to tell you the truth, I don’t mind at all that it’s gimmick, novelty and fad – in fact I’ll have one of each please!
